About Me

Angie&Kids

Hi! My name is Angela Atallah (emphasise the tall). I live in Northwest Florida, and I'm just a typical Florabama Momma. I like to read good books and do arts and crafts. I love being with my sisters and my friends. I like to go out with my hubby, Raja, in the evenings and have a good time. I especially love watching movies with him. I love to be outside--at the beach, at the park with my kids--anywhere in the sunshine! I love being with my kids; my two toddlers, Adrianna and Ayden, don't let a day slip by without making it being exciting and wonderful.

After Raja and I adopted our two children in 2007, I left my editing job at a textbook publishing company to stay home and raise the kids. Now my family and I live off my husband's school teacher salary, which isn't much! But thankfully we have discovered creative ways to budget, save money, and still have lots of fun in the meantime.

About My Family

kids

Ayden meets all the requirements of a typical two-year-old: active, optimistic, and often overwhelmed by the Big World. He loves his Sissy more than anyone else in the world, and I'm not exaggerating! His favorite toys are Magneatos and jungle animals. He is big-time into movies and books.

Big-Sis Adrianna is very much the "princess." She loves to dress up for church, or to go anywhere else for that matter, and will not leave the house without her hair done. She's not vain; she's just very detailed. She colors exceptionally well, and is currently insisting that she learn to write her name. She often asks to listen to music. And she is sweet, through-and-through.

Angie and Raja

Raja is my husband and best friend. We've had many challenges together, and we've overcome them all. Raja's favorite sport to play is frisbee golf. He also likes soccer and golfing, camping and hiking, and most of all, traveling. He's up for a road trip, day or night. Besides being a tenth grade English teacher with multiple degrees, Raja is also an accomplished pianist. Raja was naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 2006; he originally came from the beautiful country of Lebanon.

About 10MockingbirdLane.com

This website was born out of experience. I don't have any special degree that has to do with money management, family relationships, or anything that I write about. I'm just a Momma who strives to live simply, within our budget, yet deeply within our relationships. I try to run the technical side of our home (the paperwork, the finances) as thoroughly as I would a business. With this kind of organization and attention to detail, everything else at home will fall into place; stress and anxiety will be kept to a minimum. There will be no worry over our expenses because everything has been budgeted for. There will be no worry over the details of our lives because we are organized.

10MockingbirdLane.com reflects that sense of well-being for my family that I work so hard for. This website is a reflection of our having a comparitively small budget, yet still finding happiness in each other. And this website is a reflection of my caring for my own body, my mind, and my emotions. I know that if I strip myself of physical, mental, and emotional health, there will be no strength left to care for my family.

I'm just a typical Momma, but I want to share my tips, ideas, creations, and experiences with you at 10 Mockingbird Lane.
